Lorelei Meets "Weird Al" Yankovic

Daddy here.  "Weird Al" Yankovic got to meet Lorelei tonight!  He was at Barnes & Noble in Brookfield to promote his children's book, "My New Teacher and Me!"  Daddy had Al sign "To Lorelei, Dare To Be Stupid!" on his first children's book, "When I Grow Up" that was given to him by Mommy on his first Father's Day.  Al enjoyed looking at a picture of him and Daddy from 1984 that was taken at Milwaukee's Summerfest.  Thanks for making this possible Mommy!!!

First Swim Lesson

This past Wednesday Lorelei had her first swim lesson. She was one out of about 10 babies her age. We practiced splashing, kicking, getting our heads and ears wet, and sang lots of songs together. Since we've been taking her in the water for several months, she did very well and was very comfortable.

 

 

Happy Father's Day!!

Last Sunday was our first official Father's Day. We spent the day playing together, going for walks, taking naps, playing in the pool, and having dinner at Daddy's favorite restaurant, Fishbone's. We topped it off with a special gift basket Lorelei and Mommy made for Daddy. It was a lovely and perfect day.

Family Visit

Last weekend, Uncle Adam, Aunt Nicole, and Cousin Jackson came to town for a visit. We enjoyed playing at Grandma Honey's and G-Pop's, sharing dinners, a walk to our favorite chocolate store, playing at the Children's Play Gallery where Lorelei made her first piece of art, and the Imagination Station where Lorelei loves swinging!

 

 



 

 

Our Little Rever

Lately, Lorelei has been enjoying flipping to all fours when she's on the changing table. This makes it particularly difficult to change her diaper and put on her clothes. But, when she starts rocking back and forth or 'reving' up, it's impossible to get upset with this little girl.

Eating Is Fun!

We have been getting more adventurous with our foods lately. We now LOVE turkey sausage, avocado, scrambled eggs, and are getting better at our sippy cup!
