Baby, It's Cold Outside
It has been a tough New Years for the Hardt house so far. Mama Jamie and Lorelei came down with food poisoning last week from bad cantaloupe. Lorelei got sick first (this was very scary as she had never vomited before like this) and it was no fun at all and then Mama got it later that night. Daddy Aaron also had a rough New Years weekend dealing with a case of the flu.
It has also been exceptionally cold here lately and Daddy Aaron has gone back to work 8 hours a day. We had gotten so used to his time off in December, we had to readjust to him not being around so much.
However, this weekend has been wonderful so far. We took Lorelei to a Children's Theatre production to a show called "Mostly Monsterly". Basically, it was about a monster that wasn't scary enough and how it's okay to be yourself even if that meant not being the scariest monster in the world. We weren't sure how Lorelei would act or behave during this, so, we made sure we got there early to get a seat on the aisle in case we had to leave. We are so happy and SO proud to say Lorelei was the best little girl, completely engaged, and watched the ENTIRE 45 minute show!!! She even practiced her monster growl all evening. :)
