Tour Of Kenosha

This Sunday we went on a whirlwind tour of Kenosha County. It included a trip to Apple Holler (hint--get there at 9am before everybody else), a Jelly Belly Factory your (free samples!!!), a stop at Mars Cheese Castle (more free samples!!), and a visit with the drummer of Daddy's high school band. We also stopped at Jo-Don Farms which is an exotic animal farm/zoo. They had a lion, tiger, wolf, zebra, a kangaroo, birds, camels, goats, and much more!

Green Meadows Petting Zoo/Farm

Last week, Mama Jamie took Lorelei to the Green Meadows Petting Zoo/Farm. We weren't sure how long we would last on the hottest day of summer. But, with sunblock, lots of water, and frequent breaks, we lasted 4 hours! And, it was the most incredible time. They had kittens, goats, donkeys, horses, cows, pigs, and chickens so tame you could hold them! We can't wait to go back again.

Appleton / Green Bay Trip

Last weekend, we went 'up north' to Appleton and Green Bay. We first visited Grandma Helen and had a very nice visit. 3 hours go by so fast sometimes!

We then went to Green Bay to visit Aunt Peg and Uncle Jon. They took us to a German restaurant called 'The Lorelei' !!

We then went to Bay Beach Amusement Park that night with Aunt Peg.

And, we also went the next day with our friends Mike, Annette, and Blake Stephani.

We ended our weekend by seeing Aunt Peg perform in a show at Heritage Hill educating us on how Elizabeth Baird came to the Fox Valley area and established her families roots.

And, then we headed home.
