Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday consisted of an indoor egg hunt at home, finding lots of goodies, celebrating the holiday and Papa's birthday, and a pretty but not so yummy birthday cake !!!😏

We spent the Saturday before Easter Sunday doing a few egg hunts including one that involved dropping the candy via helicopter !!!

 This girl not only had the best volleyball game of her life (so far) she WON the game for her team!!!

PKL 94

For the past week and for the next several weeks, Lorelei will be participating in the PKL94 news. This is Park Lawn's morning announcements. There are 3 roles: cameraperson, weatherperson, and anchor. This week Lorelei is anchor and I was invited in to watch, take pics, and video. The first kid to get there is in charge of getting everything turned on and ready. It was so beautiful to watch her take charge and get everything set up for the 'show'.

And, the instrument of choice is ......

Last night was an exciting night as we went to the middle school to do our instrument try-outs. We met one of the music teachers, Ms. Fix.

We even tried the French Horn.

And, after trying everything out, Lorelei decided on the violin !!!!!

April Fool's !!!

 We had a fun April Fool's Day and quite an interesting weekend.

Mama set Lorelei's clock an hour ahead. This is her confused face when she realized it was earlier than she thought it was.

Home made chocolates were just grapes.

And, what should have been an April Fool's joke, but wasn't, we had to deal with a flat tire during a mini-blizzard Saturday morning. SO thankful that it happened right in the YMCA parking lot and an awesome member/friend helped put the spare on.

But, what WASN'T an April Fool's joke, was that Lorelei's volleyball team had their FIRST win of the season. It was an incredible match with some fun volleys. It was a real nail-biter !!

Some of these girls didn't know they had won this set. So cute.
