Surprise!!!

This past Thursday I walked into my monthly Hartland Chamber of Commerce board meeting and was greeted by a surprise baby shower! It was so overwhelming and unexpected! I have had the opportunity to work with such a wonderful group of people throughout the last several years. I will continue to volunteer at chamber events, but, am I saddened that this is my last year because my term is up. Our little one was given some excellent gifts including many clothes, stuffed animals, Halloween costumes, and our first pack of diapers. Here are some great pics of her 'loot':

Hardt Family Baby Shower

Last Saturday, we had our first baby shower thrown for us from Aaron's family. Aaron's mom, Aune, put together a lovely and elegant baby shower for our little bundle. We enjoyed raspberry lemonade, cupcakes, chocolate mousse, and pulled pork sandwiches for the men. Our little one was given many wonderful presents including baby monitors, toys, bibs, clothes, and much more! Here are some great pics:

Our Last Babymoon

We had a great getaway to Door County this past weekend. We drove up on Saturday and had a very nice (short but sweet visit) with my Grandma Helen in Appleton and made our way further north. We stayed with our friends, Mike & Annette Stephani and their adorable, perfect son, Blake. He is going to be our future son-in-law. :)

We had lots of good food including a fish boil, ice cream, and lots of cherry-related foods. Here are some fun pics!

Here She Is !!!

We had a 3D/4D ultrasound today. My friend, Denise, who works for GE Healthcare hooked me up to be a 'model' for their training classes on their 3D/4D ultrasound machines. A lot of the time was spent looking at the spine, heart, and kidneys. We did get some great first pictures of her. She is awfully cute! And, we are so lucky! Here are some pictures and video--Enjoy!

No Diabetes For Me !!!

My doctor's office called me today to tell me I don't have gestational diabetes--Yippee!!! I do, however, have a low iron count and am slightly anemic. After yesterday's ordeal, I can completely handle this.

Scary Morning

I went in to the doctor's today for my glucose test and everything was going fine until my doctor did the monthly heartrate check. All of a sudden her heartrate dropped from the normal 130 to 90 and then down to 80. This concerned her so she put me on a fetal monitor for half an hour and everything seemed to be normal. She still wanted to be extra cautious so she did an ultrasound to make sure baby's fluids and everything were okay and it was. Doctor thinks the baby moved and maybe was pressing on the cord for a few seconds and that's why the heartrate dropped like that. So, everything is fine which is great, but, it was a very emotional, trying day...a typical half hour appt turned into 2 1/2 hours...not a fun morning.

Strange Dream

Aaron here.  I was awaken today by the strangest dream.  I dreamt that I was sitting on our couch with Jamie lying down next to me.  All of the sudden Jamie was holding our daughter in between her legs.  Our little girl appeared to have the face, arms, and torso of an (18) month old.  She was smiling and giggling at me!  However, the rest of her was still "in" Jamie.  I looked worriedly at Jamie who said, "it's ok if I just take her out to play for a little while!"  I nervously exclaimed to put her back in as she has another (3) months to "cook."  Jamie reluctantly agreed and tucked her back in where she belonged.  What kind of Daddy dream was that???!!!
