Road Trip To Illinois
This past Friday, we took a long-awaited road trip to Illinois. Our first goal was to visit the 'Bronze Leaf' that was purchased for the Oak Grove Elementary School Giving Tree. Oak Grove is where Daddy Aaron went to school in Libertyville, IL. Then we went to Lambs Farm, a petting zoo, where we met the most patient goat ever. We finished IL by visiting our good friends the Hansens and their grandson, Johnny and headed up home, but, not before taking Lorelei to her first visit to Texas Roadhouse!

Picnic & Cool Whip!
On Tuesday, we had a gorgeous day here and Lorelei & Mama went to the park for a picnic, swinging, playing, and of course, pictures.
And, then later that night--we had a cool whip party.

Pumpkin Farm!
On Sunday, we took Lorelei to her first pumpkin farm. It was in a town called Ixonia, about 20 minutes west and we had heard good things. And, sure enough, there was a pumpkin patch, a corn pool, a train ride, a petting zoo, storytime, pony rides, pumpkin bowling, and much more. She had a great time and only fell asleep on the way home.
Visit with Grandma & Grandpa and....James Brown???
We hadn't seen Grandma-ma and Grandpa-pa Special for a while, so we went over to their house on Saturday for a party of pizza and chicken wings. After eating, Grandma-ma got out her singing and dancing James Brown toy. At first, Lorelei wasn't sure what to make of it, but, soon enough her dancing began.
Eating is Fun!
We have been getting braver with the foods we've been trying lately including pancakes and spaghetti & meatballs. Below is a video of Lorelei enjoying her Italian cuisine.
Spaghetti!
