Snow Day!

We had our first measureable snow yesterday and after a 90 minute drive in to work, Daddy was allowed to leave early. He made it home around 2pm and it was perfect timing as the snow and wind had stopped and it was time to give Lorelei her first experience playing in the snow. After what seemed like hours getting her in her snowsuit (she was thankfully very agreeable during this) and putting on her boots, coat, mittens, scarf, and hat we were ready with cameras in hand--away we went!

Fingerpaint Fun!

Tonight, we decided to get messy!! We made Lorelei edible fingerpaint (colored vanilla pudding) and let her make some pictures and have fun. Daddy videotaped everything as Mommy took pictures and supervised. Needless to say, Lorelei had a BLAST and I think it tasted great!

 

 

Storytime at the Library!

Daddy had off of work on Tuesday so we all went to the Oconomowoc Library for baby storytime with Miss Betsy. Lorelei enjoys showing off her walking skills to the other babies, enjoys the songs and stories, and REALLY enjoys the toys.

Fun With Food!

Lorelei has been showing signs of independence and wanting to feed herself. Lately, we've been eating pancakes with blueberries, rotisserie chicken, apples & rhubarb, blueberry muffins, pork chops, mashed potatoes, chopped strawberries, and these awesome quinoa veggie mini-muffins. And, bread---this girl loves her carbs!

Exploring New Things!

This weekend Lorelei discovered her wooden rocking horse in her room. It has been in there since before she was born, but, this was the first time she made an effort to ride it. We are amazed by her perfect form! We think we might have a future jockey on our hands.
