Celebration of Learning

Last Thursday, Lorelei's school had the annual Celebration of Learning. This is like an end of the year open house where she gets to show us her room, where they do what, and her 5K portfolio. They also have a silent auction and we won again front row tickets to her (what will be 1st grade) concert. :)

Snow In April !!!???!

We had yet ANOTHER snowstorm last weekend....in April. The only silver lining was Daddy Aaron was home and we could all stay home and play together on this one.

Lorelei's New Room !!!

For quite some time now, Lorelei has been asking to paint her room from 'boring' brown to pink. We agreed to do just two walls in 'bubblegum pink' with glitter. It was a two day project and we are thrilled with the results. Here are some pictures and videos. The first video is her seeing the paint for the first time. The second video is her seeing everything re-organized, furniture moved into different spots, and a new bedspread and decorations on the wall.

New Job For Mama !!!

Last week, Mama Jamie began a new job working in the lunch room at Lorelei's school. She is working 3 days a week and so far it is absolutely perfect. It is hard work of chopping, cooking, serving, and cleaning, but, so much fun and rewarding. 

Cancun, BABY !!!

Oh, what a perfect, tropical paradise for us. We arrived on Easter Sunday/April Fool's Day and hit the pool and beach immediately (well, after the buffet, of course).

Day #2 had us back at the pool and the beach again. We also built sand castles, ziplined, and even napped a little.

Day 3 was dolphin day!! The video and pictures can't even begin how awesome of an 

experience it was!

The only issue we had was we got a little sunburned even though we were diligent about putting sunblock on. So, to get thru the fact that we had to keep putting sunblock on already sunburned skin, we began to let Lorelei put it on herself.

Our last day had us swimming, burying daddy, making friends, and even finding iguanas.
