Mary Poppins

During the first week of summer vacation, Lorelei did a mini0musical camp of "Mary Poppins". She was VERY excited to get a speaking role as the character, Michael. She practiced and rehearsed all week long. This was an excellent first experience for her in the theater.

Last Day of School & Summer School

We had our last day of school, started summer vacation, and have been doing a lot !!! We've been going to waterparks, the movies, seeing our friends, Skyzone, the library, and much more!

New Hair !!!

Lorelei was finally ready to cut her hair !!! We would mention it every once in a while especially while brushing her hair and having lots of tangles. On Tuesday, she was finally ready !! I kept asking her and gave lots of her opportunities to back out, but, she was ready! She was so brave and excited. We will be donating 12 inches of hair to Wigs for Kids.

Madison Zoo

On Monday, Lorelei went on her first and only field trip of the 1st grade. We went to the Henry Vilas Zoo, otherwise known as the Madison Zoo. We saw giraffes, otters, donkeys, badgers, red panda, and a very playful polar bear.

 

Running & Bike Riding

Last Saturday, Lorelei participated in the Yellow Brick Road Fun Run. She did awesome and really enjoyed herself.

Zoo & Memorial Day Weekend

We had a jam-packed Memorial Day weekend with going to see "Aladdin" (which was ah-mazing), buying new Aladdin dolls, Great America, the Milwaukee Zoo, and more !!
