Last Friday, Lorelei attended her first school dance !!! It was a Halloween theme and only for 5th and 6th graders. Lorelei dressed up like Eleven from our new favorite show, "Stranger Things". Mama Jamie was able to chaperone and dressed up like Joyce from "Stranger Things" as well.
Lorelei had a rough morning on Monday as per our orthodonist recommendation, we had two baby teeth pulled. She was very nervous, did NOT like the Novocaine or the sound when the tooth came out, but, was super brave and they came out with no complications.
We had promised her a day of whatever she wanted. She sure took advantage. ;)
Last weekend, we celebrated Grandmama and Papa's 50th wedding anniversary. We gifted them with a family day to the zoo where we got to experience 3 animal encounters. We got to practice target training with the hyenas and got to feed giraffes and penguins. It was quite an incredible VIP experience !!! Here are some pics and videos.
So, you know how football is huge in Texas??? Apparently, volleyball has become that in our area. This weekend was tryouts for club volleyball. This season takes place during the winter months. This is Lorelei's 1st year trying and since she is a very young 5th grader that just turned 10, her choices were a bit limited. She was able to try out for 2 clubs. She was waitlisted on one and was offered a spot immediately on another. After 48 hours of waiting to see how everything shook out, tonight Lorelei proudly accepted a spot on the Revolution Volleyball Academy.
The last 2 weeks of volleyball as a Junior Raccoon have been very successful, especially today.
