Whew !!! Back to back weekends of tournaments. At least this one was better than last weekend. :) We found ourselves at UW-Parkside on Sunday morning at 7am. We were faced with some challenges and tried our best. The team ended in 3rd place !!! Pretty good!!

Best part was Lorelei trying out her overhand serve skills.

Latest Volleyball Tournament

Yesterday was the latest volleyball tournament, Fusion Freeze. They ended in 6th place (out of 8). They didn't play as well as they would like, BUT, they played all 11 year old teams and because they played so well in the last tournament they actually moved up a bracket, so, they were definitely being challenged.

But, Grandmama, Papa, and Aunt Maureen coming to watch made her feel like a winner.

RVA 2nd Tournament

We'll just jump ahead to the 2nd tournament. WOW !!! What a day it was !!! Such a long, challenging, incredible day !!! After 5 games, our girls took 1st place !!!

I have so many pics and videos (thank you, Grandma Honey!) and there are just too many to post except for this video. Here is Lorelei with the winning serve.

RVA 1st Volleyball Tournament

Yesterday Lorelei participated in her team's first volleyball tournament. We had to be at the Lake Rec Plex in Pleasant Prairie on Sunday morning at 7am. Yes, 7AM. That meant a 5am wake up for everyone. We got ready and got down there and were ready to play !!!

We knew they would play 3 teams (2 from Milwaukee Sting and the Oconomowoc team). What we weren't sure on was how they would play. But, they played SO good that they got to play in the 4th game--the Championship game !!! This was against Oconomowoc. Unfortunately, they did lose to O-con. But, it was pretty close. RVA really held their own against O-con.

Lorelei's serves were INCREDIBLE yesterday. Not once, but, TWICE did her serves lead the team to win sets. We are very proud of her, the team, and their 2nd place finish in their FIRST tournament !!!
