An Eventful Week!
We have had quite an eventful week which included Lorelei's first baby-sitting experience with Grandpa Special, her 2 month doctor's visit (with vaccinations!), her first trip to an indoor playground, and her first Trick or Treat. Everything went exceptionally well at the doctor's office and we were pleased to find out her length is now 21.25 inches long. She is strong and healthy!

First Family Road Trip
We went up to Green Bay this past weekend to visit Lorelei's Great Uncle Jon and Aunt Peg. We had fun visiting, went out to lunch, a walk, and got some sweet baby smiles. Aaron and I made sure to visit Lambeau Field with Lorelei before we left. Although, she was sleeping we got some nice pictures.

First Laugh !!!
Lorelei is now 8 weeks old and we've had a fantastic week. Grandma Special and Great-Grandma Marilyn got to baby-sit this week, we are sleeping 5-6 hours at night (on most nights) and are gaining weight at a steady pace.
Today was a very exciting day as we got some nice smiles and our first real laugh. I was lucky enough to be video taping her when it happened. Enjoy!

Surprise!
During a regular Hardt family Badger game party we were very much surprised by Uncle Adam and Cousin Jackson when they walked through the door. We had a great time playing with Jackson and Lorelei fell asleep in Adam's lap for 3 hours!

Happy 40th Anniversary Grandma & Grandpa Special
This weekend we celebrated Jamie's parent's 40th wedding anniversary with a very nice, fun, family dinner. Lorelei was a perfect angel and slept through most of it until she was ready for a feeding. Grandma Special bogarted Lorelei and fed her. It was really sweet!
Good Morning!
Lorelei makes the cutest noises when she wakes up from a nap. Sometimes she sounds like a little goat.
Enjoy!

6 Weeks and Growing!
Our little girl is now 6 weeks old and is doing so well. I think (knock on wood) we finally have our days and nights figured out and she is currently only waking up twice a night. Daddy has been taking one of the nighttime feedings and I usually take the other one. We are more alert every day and we have even gotten our first real smiles. Lorelei gave hers to Daddy when he was cleaning and he took a break to say hi to her. I got mine when I asked what she wanted to be for Halloween this year. She smiled when I gave her the choices of ladybug or a ghost.
Also, last week Grandma 'Special' Kohlweiss came out to baby-sit while Jamie went to run some errands and the grocery store. Jamie was doing fine until she got in the car and realized this was going to be harder than she thought. After 2 hours of being gone, Jamie rushed home to see her little girl as happy as she could be with Grandma. I missed her so much!
Aaron and I also had our first night away from the baby for date night while we went to Jamie's favorite restaurant, Solly's Grille, and to see the Rick Springfield documentary, "An Affair Of The Heart" at the Milwaukee Film Festival. Grandma Honey and G-Pop baby-sit this time and she was as perfect as can be. G-Pop discovered Lorelei likes gospel music!
