Strawberry Picking!!!
Today, Lorelei and I had a FANTASTIC day strawberry picking at a local farm about 15 minutes west of us. We have heard of Jelli's Market & Farm, but, we never got around to doing it till today. There is estimated to only be about 3-5 good picking days left and there was still plenty of good strawberries left. We quickly filled our box up with the juiciest, sweetest, strawberries we've ever had! Please note the pretty before picture of Lorelei in the car seat wearing her strawberry dress. Then note the after picture.

SPOUT!!!!
Today was the first time Lorelei let me put a ponytail spout in her hair and she kept it in!!! We then went to the park and played and took some (in my opinion) really great pictures.
Road Trip!
We then had a 90 minute drive to Door County to visit and stay the night with our friends Mike, Annette, and their now 4 year old boy, Blake.
We had dinner at a restaurant called PC Junction where they serve the food on a train.
Bubbles in Heaven
Here comes our food!
We were able to put two car seats in Mike's truck so we all rode together. This was Lorelei's first time facing forward and she loved it!
We even found Hardt's Acres!
Sharing ice cream.
Lorelei's new favorite toy, a bouncy cow.
We love cherries!
Lorelei slept all the way to 6:30am and then needed some cuddles. We both fell asleep together. There's at least one sleeping beauty here. We then went to The Farm where Lorelei got to hold a kitty, feed a goat, a bull, and ride a tractor.
We went shopping for all sorts of Door County goodies. Daddy and Lorelei shared an apple cider popsicle. We then watched Lorelei climb up this ladder by herself and go down the fastest slide ever!
After a long day, it was time to leave Door County and head to Green Bay to visit Aaron's Uncle Jon (Pop's brother) and Aunt Peg. Unfortunately, we had a late start leaving Door County, so, we couldn't visit as long as we'd like. We did manage to visit a restaurant called The Lorelei and Mama's favorite chocolate shop, Seroogy's.
It was a fast, fun-filled weekend.

Father's Day & Food!
This Father's day weekend was filled with fun, food, and, LOTS of animals. We began Friday night for an ice cream treat where we shared a sundae called the Zebra (our animal themed weekend begins here) which was 2 scoops of vanilla, 1 scoop of chocolate, marshmallow crème, and hot fudge. It was enjoyed by all.
On Saturday night, we had Aaron's first of two Father's Day dinners in which we grilled out steaks and boiled two LIVE lobsters. Lorelei LOVED them and called them bugs. So cute when I put them in the pot of boiling water and she said, "Bye, bye bugs."
And, on Sunday, we took Grandma-ma and Papa to the zoo to get the Daddy's in for free and to use our new Zoo pass. We got there at 9:30am and didn't leave until 1:30pm. It was a beautiful, sunny day for a change as every time we go to the zoo it seems to be raining. Our day was filled with seeing ALL the animals, running with Papa, feeding the peacocks, riding the Merry-Go-Round, and the zoo train.

For Daddy Aaron's second Father's Day dinner, Mama made him a meal based on one of our favorite books to read to Lorelei. I got it at a rummage sale simply based on the title, "I Smell Honey". It is a fun book about soul food.
What another fabulous weekend---next weekend we will be visiting family and friends in Appleton, Green Bay, and Door County.
