Father's Day & Food!

This Father's day weekend was filled with fun, food, and, LOTS of animals. We began Friday night for an ice cream treat where we shared a sundae called the Zebra (our animal themed weekend begins here) which was 2 scoops of vanilla, 1 scoop of chocolate, marshmallow crème, and hot fudge. It was enjoyed by all.

On Saturday night, we had Aaron's first of two Father's Day dinners in which we grilled out steaks and boiled two LIVE lobsters. Lorelei LOVED them and called them bugs. So cute when I put them in the pot of boiling water and she said, "Bye, bye bugs."

And, on Sunday, we took Grandma-ma and Papa to the zoo to get the Daddy's in for free and to use our new Zoo pass. We got there at 9:30am and didn't leave until 1:30pm. It was a beautiful, sunny day for a change as every time we go to the zoo it seems to be raining. Our day was filled with seeing ALL the animals, running with Papa, feeding the peacocks, riding the Merry-Go-Round, and the zoo train.

For Daddy Aaron's second Father's Day dinner, Mama made him a meal based on one of our favorite books to read to Lorelei. I got it at a rummage sale simply based on the title, "I Smell Honey". It is a fun book about soul food.

What another fabulous weekend---next weekend we will be visiting family and friends in Appleton, Green Bay, and Door County.
